Handles just like a washcloth, but a lot better because it actually exfoliates the dead skin.I found it a little harsh on one side and a little too soft on the other I won't order again.I like that you can exfoliate your skin and also have a soft side on yhe same washrag. It's the perfect washrag.I wanted a washable item to replace my loofah. The exfoliating side of these is wonderful. Feels great on dry itchy legs! Definitely abrasive but I enjoy that. They do get a bit slippery and hard to hold (that’s what she said) when you add body wash/soap. These also rinsed the soap out very easily and dry quickly! Worth the money.I needed some washcloths to use with bodywash and these are perfect. They do shrink up a bit in the wash. The weave gets tighter. The shrinkage is not an issue for me.These are excellent and quite the bargain. They REALLY exfoliate without irritation. I like that there are several in the pack, so you can always have one on hand, in between laundry days. And, speaking of laundry, they clean up nice in the washing machine. Highly recommendedThey provide a good amount of exfoliation. The terry cloth part is thin so is not as plush as other brands. The exfoliating part easily burns/melts on the dryer. I would not recommend to dry the items on anything else but low heat with occasional checking on them.Good value for the price
